Grilled Chicken

Ingredients​ - Makes 4-6 servings

1 chicken breast

1 tbs butter

1 tsp cayenne pepper

salt

Equipment​ 

Option 1 (Sous Vide)

An immersion circulator

A vacuum sealer 

A plastic bag that is heat and food safe.

A grill or pan

Instructions​ - Option 1

1. Season the chicken with salt and cayenne pepper.

​2. Place chicken in a vac-seal bag with a slice of butter.

3. Seal the bag and make sure there is no air inside or else the bag will float in the water.

 

Option 2 (Oven/Pan Fry)

4. Place in the immersion circulator and set the temperature to 141F/60.5C.

5. Cook for 1-2 hours (2 hours is preferable).

6. Once 1-2 hours has passed, open the bag and brown each side on a pan or grill for 45 seconds each.

7. Cut the chicken into pieces or shred it.

Instructions​ - Option 2 (Oven/Pan Fry)

1. Preheat the oven to 350F/175C

2. Add butter or oil to a pan.

3. Fry each side of the chicken on high for 30 seconds each side.

4. Place the chicken in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

5. Let it rest for a minute and chop into pieces or shred.
